NCLB K-12 Educational Technology Standards

2007-2008 Pilot Classroom Implementation & Baseline 8th Grade Test Project

 

Pilot Project

The South Dakota Department of Education is seeking 10-20 School Districts that would be willing to implement the k-12 educational technology standards participate in our pilot assessment project for the 07-08 school year.

The project would consist of the following:

1.  Submit to SDDOE a request to participate in the pilot project: Click here

2.  Have Instructional staff either attend or view via online a roll-out session for the new standards in the fall 07.

3.  Baseline test 8th grade students using the Technology Literacy Assessment site.  See Sample questions at:  http://www.learning.com/tla/20itemsample/fall06/middle/

4.  Implement the k-12 educational technology standards during the 07-08 school year.

5.  Re-Test 8th grade students using the TLA assessment in the Spring 08.

6.  Report to SDDOE lessons learned, insight gained, suggested modifications, and other helpful suggestions at the completion of the school year.
