USDOE sends reps to SD to review Title I program

The US Department of Education was on-site in South Dakota during March, reviewing the state’s implementation of the Title I program.  The group visited two school districts, called several others via phone, and spent two days in SD Dept. of Education offices.  Preliminary indications point to a successful outcome of the review; it was reported at the exit conference that all 28 elements were met, some “more fully than others."  A formal report will be received within 30 working days.
