State renews WebCT
License; available to schools free of charge
The State of South Dakota
recently renewed the statewide site license that allows educators in grades
K-12 across the state to use WebCT upon completion of training.
WebCT enables the
delivery of an online course so that students can work anyplace, anytime, on
the content. It can be used to house a fully developed Internet course; it can
be used to supplement a course being taught over the DDN. And it can be used
to add an e-learning component to a course being taught face-to-face.
Teachers find it a useful method for organizing course materials and making
them available for their students 24 hrs. per day, 7 days per week. It can
also cut down on the volume of paper If you have further questions regarding WebCT or
would like to set a training up for your school contact Mark Heilmann at
mark.heilmann@state.sd.us or via phone at 605-280-3612. |
