first meeting of 2006 in April. Consensus appears to be building
in several key areas.

adequate yearly progress (AYP) for 2006 should be available at the Superintendents Conference, July 17-19,
in Pierre.
Consolidated Application available
online
School districts now
can fill out their Consolidated Application online via the new
eGrant system.

department on Virtual High School
The South Dakota Department of
Education has announced the members of its Virtual High School
Advisory Council.
Governor unveils anti-meth campaign
Gov. Mike Rounds kicked off “Face
Facts: Meth Makes You Ugly,”
a campaign to curb the growing methamphetamine problem, earlier
this week. The Governor visited five South Dakota high schools
to introduce the campaign.
Schools eligible
for free training
All South Dakota school districts
using DDN Campus can take advantage of training sessions offered
through Infinite Campus University.

The South Dakota State Library
recently redesigned its Web site, located at
