Non-certified Administrators (CEOs & Building Managers)
Senate Bill
173 clarified the alternative certification requirements for the current
non-certified CEOs and building managers. The intent of the legislation was
to require that all administrators be properly certified by July 1, 2008.
Pursuant to the amendment to 13-42-28, Secretary Melmer appointed a six
member advisory council. This council met
August 3, 2004 and formulated the rules specific to this provision.
One of the three following
alternatives must be selected and all non-certified administrators must
submit the required “Plan of Intent” to the Department of Education for
approval by July 1, 2005:
Then a “Plan of Intent,” outlining your objective
for obtaining certification, must be completed and submitted to the Department of
Education prior to July 1, 2005.
