Advisory Council – First meeting: August 3, 2004

1. Appointed by Secretary of Education, Dr. Rick Melmer (as per statute)
   1. The council is comprised of three certified administrators, one school board member,
   2. and one faculty member from a higher education institution with an approved school administrator education program.
2. Purpose

3. 1. To establish criteria for hiring exemptions;
   2. To establish waiver criteria;
   3. To establish processes for professional development plans; and
   4. To create relevant administrative rules, which will be submitted to the State Board of Education for final approval.
