The Certification Exam

In June 2004, administrators across the State validated the certification exam, Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision.  Educational Testing Services conducted the validation study and the results of the administrator panel will be sent to the Department of Education with a recommended qualifying score.  Additional analysis of the recommendations will be conducted before they go before the Test Advisory Council. The Test Advisory Council will then make the final qualifying score recommendation to the State Board of Education at its November 2004 meeting. 

The exam will be available for the January 8, 2005, test date.  The tests will be administered at universities across the State on the following dates:

• January 08, 2005
• March 05, 2005
• April 16, 2005
• June 11, 2005

The specific test administration sites will be announced prior to the first test date for pre-registration purposes.

The test may be retaken as many times as necessary to achieve a passing score prior to July 2005.
