The Professional Development Plan Alternative

EXEMPT FROM TAKING THE TEST

Group 1

  1. Applies to individuals currently serving as building managers (serving in the capacity of a principal) or CEOs (serving in the capacity of a superintendent).
  2. Applies to those who are currently enrolled and will complete an approved educational administrative program by July 2008.
  3. A professional development plan must be submitted by July 1, 2005, outlining the intent to complete either a principal endorsement/program or superintendent endorsement/program.

Group 2

  1. Applies to individuals currently serving as building managers (serving in the capacity of a principal) or CEOs (serving in the capacity of a superintendent).
  2. Applies to those who will enroll and complete an approved educational administrative program by July 2008.
  3. A professional development plan must be submitted by July 1, 2005, outlining the intent to complete either a principal endorsement/program or superintendent endorsement/program.

Note: The difference between the testing alternative and the professional development alternative is that an individual who passes the test is immediately endorsed and receives an additional two years (until July 2010) to complete the program requirements for certification.
