middle level education endorsement program for each
content area for which authorization is sought requires a
methodology course in the content area in addition to 12
semester hours specific to the content area as
follows: (2) Mathematics: coursework in algebra and other mathematics courses with middle or secondary level content; All coursework must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher at an accredited postsecondary institution. Prior approval is required for courses from community college or postsecondary vocational schools. A 5-8 Middle Level Education Content Endorsement for Math may be added to K-8 Elementary, K-8 Elementary/Special Education, 7-12 Secondary, and K-12 Education Certificates. [The requirement in 24:02:03:05.01 to have the middle school content endorsements for teaching in that content area for any amount of time will be transferred to school accreditation rules 24:03.] |
