Program
Title: Post
Cards
Course Description: Postcards
is a twelve-session fast paced fact-filled series that takes
students on a virtual field trip across America. Along the way,
students visit historical places and meet many of the people who
have played an important role in the history of the United
States. Postcards itinerary includes places such as Independence
Hall, The White House, Mt. Rushmore and Ft. McHenry, just to
name a few. Postcards is an opportunity for students to see and
learn about the rich and unique history that is the United
States. Each program is a mini-history lesson, in which
students learn about key events and individuals that have shaped
American history.
Course Objectives: At the
conclusion of Postcards, students will be able to identify
historical figures, places and landmarks and discuss why they
are of significance to United States History.
Intended Audience: Students in Grades 7-12 (Youth)
