Charts & Graphs WebQuest
The site allows you to follow or adapt the procedures that you find at a WebQuest designed for 9th graders. 

Data Picking
This activity allows students to collect data from the on-line classroom, produce a frequency chart, and choose the appropriate graph for the data.

Graph It
This utility allows the user to create simple graphs based on data entered.

Interpreting Data
The site includes an excellent interactive tutorial about interpreting data.  A fact sheet and test are provided.

Introduction to Descriptive Statistics
This link is designed for use in a classroom setting.  It uses both hands-on and 'virtual' activities to develop and establish the basic concepts of descriptive statistics.

Students can choose to view mode, mean, median, and range to understand each definition and practice using each concept.

The site explains a graph sample and provides opportunities to make adjustments to personalize the data.

Looking for the Top Quark
This game is played on a grid that ranges from -4 to 4 on the x-axis (the horizontal axis) and from -4 to 4 on the y-axis (the vertical axis). Coordinates are made by combining x and y values in a specific order.

Mode, Median, and Mean Activity
The site includes an excellent tutorial about using mode, median, and mean.  A test and an opportunity to practice the skill are provided.

Planet Hop
Students are asked to find the coordinates of the four planets on the grid and the find the equation of the line created.
