cross-curricular materials for you and your students.
Generals of the Civil War
After compiling lists on each general, students will compare and
contrast the traits of each. Students will then determine, based on their
research, which side had the best military leadership by comparing the
characteristics, traits, education, training and experience that led them
to their conclusion of each general.
Now We Are Engaged in a Great Civil War
This unit covers the period of time leading up to the Civil War, the
war itself, and the implementation of segregation after Reconstruction.
The Why and Who of the Civil War
After researching and collecting data, students will produce a
Civil War collage of the best leader and write a finished paper to
convince the reader of the causes of the Civil War.
