Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell

SCORE: Island of the Blue Dolphins-Teacher Guide: This unit, designed to supplement the teaching of Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell, consists of five internet activities in which the students explore the following; life of the California Indians, animals indigenous to the Channel Islands off the coast of California, California Mission Life, a comparison of Karana's survival on the island and surviving the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, and  a biographical account of Karana's life on the island.

adventurous cruise to the Island of the Blue Dolphins. As they dip with the

Explore Island of the Blue Dolphin: Throughout this site students will have the opportunity to learn more about Channel Island Native Americans, San Nicolas Island, and the wildlife in the book.  Then students can receive a certificate for their accomplishments.
