Cornell University Museum of Vertebrates
The Cornell University Museum of Vertebrates (CUMV) is an internationally recognized research institution dedicated to the study of all vertebrate groups (fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals). The museum's collections contain over 1.5 million specimens and serve as the primary repositories for specimens collected by past and present Cornellian’s working around the world.

Smithsonian Natural Museum of Natural History:  Vertebrate Zoology
Vertebrate Zoology is the study of animals with backbones. Contains research covering fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. This museum holds the largest collection of vertebrate specimens in the world, including historically important collections from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Using the research, students gain a solid foundation of understanding for government agencies, conservation organizations, and individuals involved in fish and wildlife management.
