• If our LEA does not want to claim indirect costs do we have to fill that section out on the budget?

  • No
    

• What is considered online professional development content that is allowable under the grant?

  • Things like an ASCD online course or a DOE sponsored course like: 21st Century Education: Starting the Conversation

  • A direct connection for the online content and the delivered pd needs to be demonstrated.
    

• What is considered a site license (and is not allowable by the grant)?

  • Any product that would have been purchased for the whole school and is internet delivered –such as digital curriculum, learning management systems, net trekker, etc.
    

• Does the local evaluation for the grant have a set limit?

  • No
    

• If the focus of the grant is directed at an audience the private school does not have, do we need to consult with them?   (ex: We are conducting a high school initiative and the private school in our district is from k-5)

  • No, if you are not offering the same services to teacher of equitable comparison
    .

• What are good types of data to collect?

• Can a district be part of more than one grant application?

  • Depends- No, if it is for the same focus. Yes if it is for a different focus.

    • Example: District A  wants to partner with District B  for professional development related to a 1:1 laptop initiative.    Then District A also wants to be part of the ESA’s application to teach elementary teachers best practices in teaching 21^st Century Skills using white boards as demonstrated by their needs assessment. Then yes, a District a could be a part of both.
      
      However, If the ESA is also applying to provide professional development related to a 1:1 laptop initiative then no is the answer.
      

• Can we fund a curriculum integrationist part time? We do not have one right now.

  • No, this grant is designed to fund the Professional Development that a curriculum integrationist would facilitate rather than funding a position.
    

• Are substitutes an allowable cost?

  • Yes
    

• Are Stipends an allowable cost?

  • Yes
