The Power Up Project focuses on professional development supported with innovative Web 2.0 technologies that impact instruction, student motivation and student achievement in high school math and science. Teachers will participate in online learning communities as they engage in a collaborative process for reflective practice to increase their own capacity for integrating technology. Support will be provided by integrationists through face-to-face interaction as well as online interaction and the use of online support modules. The project will increase student engagement and collaboration through the development and implementation of technology-rich standards-based learning units, thus positively impacting achievement in math and science.
