Child and Adult Nutrition Services - CANS

In South Dakota, the Child and Adult Nutrition Services (CANS) is responsible for administering the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) and Food Distribution Division programs. These programs furnish resources to eligible local agencies who provide food in meals or commodities to participants. Agreements for participation and additional information can be obtained from the CANS  office. More information is available under the Quick Links "About CANS".
