SDSFSA/CANS CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOP 2003

The SDSFSA conference and workshop will be held in Sioux Falls July 29 – August 1.  A variety of preconference classes and speakers have been lined up.  Watch the school mail for registration information and check the CANS website under Current News and Events for forms and information that can be viewed on site or downloaded for future use.

Speakers include Kim Overby and Margaret Sumption.  Preconference classes include Healthy Edge 2000, New Managers, HACCP, and Serve Safe.  An opportunity for ServeSafe renewal will also be provided.  Break-out sessions are scheduled to include Irradiation, Genetically Modified Organisms, Special Diets, Choking (victims, not your co-workers!), Serving School Lunch with Flair, Handling Money, Disaster Preparedness, Conflict Resolution, and Childhood Obesity to name the new ones.  The food shows promise to be as good as ever with a wide variety of products for you to consider for the students you serve.
