CANS Welcomes Sarah Straight

Sarah Straight recently joined the Child and Adult Nutrition Services staff as an Education Program Representative taking over the responsibilities of Yibo Wood.  She is originally from Gregory , SD and graduated from SDSU in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Science.  She completed her Dietetic Internship Program at the Center for Disabilities/USD School of Medicine in Sioux Falls .  Sarah indicates her internship provided her with the opportunity to work with a wide range of programs throughout the state.  This helped her to develop her areas of professional interest in community and child nutrition.  She is planning to take the Registered Dietitian (RD) exam in the very near future. Sarah is excited about starting her new position and is looking forward to meeting and working with everyone in the future.  Welcome aboard Sarah!
