NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK

Across the nation, National School Breakfast Week will be celebrated March 3-7, 2003. The national theme will be "Make Your Morning Count with School Breakfast."

 

 

While some math concepts may come easy to you, they may not be quite as simple for students to understand—especially younger children. That’s why this year’s National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) focuses on this important curriculum! When you celebrate "Make Your Morning Count With School Breakfast," March 3-7, 2003, you can help your student customers learn the important role math plays in their lives—today and in the years to come. No matter how you calculate it, the answer is clear: A balanced breakfast will surely multiply the way good nutrition can improve the academic performance of your student customers.

 

 

Be watching in January for a packet of information and activities that can be used for National Nutrition Month which will be celebrated in March 2003. For more immediate ideas for breakfast week promotion the School Foodservice & Nutrition, November 2002 magazine issue has recipes as well as lots of ideas and materials that can be purchased through the Emporium of the American School Food Service Association (ASFSA).
