STARS, STRIPES AND SCHOOL LUNCH AT DEUBROOK
Patriotism was shared by the Deubrook K-12th grades as they took a road trip in daily trivia, created colorful drawings and/or wrote essays on America’s symbols of freedom. What the flag stands for and who designed it, history of the Statue of Liberty and many colorful flag maps were shared and displayed during the National School Lunch Week festivities. The Child Nutrition staff made bookmarkers to share with the students, decorated the cafeteria and created colorful, delicious menus. The Presidential Luncheon included Pres. Ford Fritter, Pres. Carter Spuds (which were red, white & blue), Pres. Grant Gravy, Pres. Lincoln Logs, and Pres. Washington Dessert. We salute Deubrook School District for sharing their enthusiastic National School Lunch Week.
The Child Nutrition staff helped the Deubrook students celebrate their "Harvest Festival" on Halloween, October 31, by dressing as the spook-tac-ular farmers…of course fun was served for lunch!
