A great big THANK YOU to all the South Dakota Summer Food Service Program sponsors for helping make the summer of 2002 a success. Your efforts to provide children with nutritious meals during the summer are appreciated. The meals provided helped needy children meet their nutritional needs for the day. Without your generous meals these children may not get a good meal all day. Thank You!

We would like to extend our gratitude to the agencies that took the opportunity to participate in the Summer Food Service Program under a new seamless summer waiver for 2002. We had 18 sponsors that took advantage of the waiver. This waiver helps keep paperwork down and streamline operations between the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs into the summer.

We look forward to helping make your 2003 year a huge success. By conducting outreach and activities at the site a sponsor can increase participation levels. Be looking in your mail for more information. Keep up the good work!
