KITCHEN EQUIPMENT PURCHASE IN YOUR FUTURE?
Public schools may, but are not required to purchase from the state bid list. If your school is considering a kitchen equipment purchase, it would be worth your time to consult this listing, as well as to determine best price. The specifications were developed by the Office of Adult Services and Aging, but many of the pieces would also be used in school kitchens. If there are pieces of equipment that you would like to see specifications and state bid on, let Sandra at Child and Adult Nutrition Services know. Specifications could be developed after consultation with more than one school to ensure the request for bid is what would be most useful. The website for the bid list follows. Near the bottom is an alphabetical listing. Chose the “f” section and look for Food Service Equipment. The information can be accessed through either Word or PDF. The first pages list the various vendors that bid on the equipment and the equipment listing follows the vendor list. http://www.state.sd.us/boa/downloads/
