![]() ELAINE SCOTT RETIRES She has left the building…dancing on her way out!!
After dutifully serving the citizens of this great state for 26 years, 7 months and 8 days, Elaine Scott, Senior Secretary/”Commodity Assistant”, retired from South Dakota state government in early October. Elaine was with the CANS office for over 13 years. This converts to the encoding of approximately 30,000 commodity order blanks and traversing the Missouri River Bridge connecting Pierre and Fort Pierre approximately 24,039 occasions traveling to and from work. Retirement will afford her the opportunity to spend more time with her family, traveling, ministerial work and assorted home projects to name a few items. Her dedication and insight will truly be missed by CANS and Food Distribution in particular. The office indeed wishes Elaine the best in her retirement and all future endeavors. (P.S. If you know of somebody that might be interested in “filling Elaine’s shoes” in the wonderful world of Food Distribution, please give us a call.)
