Commodity Pudding?!!?

Yes, it’s true! “Commodity” pudding is available. Chocolate was available to order for September.
Vanilla will soon be in stock.

It is a bonus product meaning the cost will not come out of your entitlement dollars. It was purchased
by USDA and is not a commodity processed item. There are no processing charges associated with
ordering the pudding.

As of August 1, 2003, there was over 1.3 billion pounds of non fat dry milk in federal storage.
Plans under a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract indicate up to
60 million pounds of pudding could be exchanged for non fat dry milk from June 2003,
to July 2004. The offer price (exchange rate) in the pudding invitation was to be quoted as a
ratio of the pounds of non fat dry milk per pound of pudding. Challenge Dairy Products and
Conagra Foods were awarded the contract.

Please note the pudding does not fulfill any child nutrition program meal pattern requirement. A commodity fact sheet for the pudding was included with your September order form.
