Inside the February NASPE’s Teacher Toolbox you
will find all the resources you need to learn
about and celebrate American Heart Month. Find
activities, handouts and links to additional
resources and information. As always you will
find the monthly Fitness Calendars for
Elementary and Secondary levels in both English
and Spanish. February’s toolbox also includes
new activity ideas for staff wellness, a
take-home letter to parents and national health
observances.

Annual Nutrition Seminar to be Held in Brookings |

"Hot
Topics and Controversies in Nutrition" is the
theme for South Dakota's Annual Nutrition
Seminar 2008. The seminar will be held March
10-12, 2008 at South Dakota State University in
Brookings, SD. For registration and program

Child Nutrition Dakota Digital Network Series |
|

Child Adult Nutrition Services and Team
Nutrition in partnership with South Dakota State
University will be broadcasting DDN
presentations once a month from Jan-April 2008
at 20 locations across South Dakota. Topics
include reviewing the upcoming changes to school
menu patterns, starting a gardening program,
implementing social marketing, baking with whole
grains, and evaluating the entire school's
nutrition environment. Each 2 hour session is
provided at no cost and no registration is
