The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Feb. 17, 2009. The act includes two overarching sources of funds for elementary and secondary education: 1) State Fiscal Stabilization Fund and 2) Funding for Existing Education Programs.

The ARRA includes opportunities to apply for competitive grants in various areas. As these opportunities are made available, they will be posted here.
School Modernization
The ARRA provides two types of bonds to help schools raise funds to rehabilitate facilities and to construct new facilities, including land acquisition.
