Sixty-nine projects designed to help
youngsters make healthy lifestyle
choices have been selected to receive
mini-grants. Together, the projects will
receive a total of $52,000.
Projects include hosting fruit and
vegetable tasting events, growing
gardens, and hiring registered
dietitians to assist with education and
menu planning. Funding for the
mini-grants comes from the U.S.
Department of Agriculture’s Team
Nutrition program and the U.S.
Department of Education’s 21st Century
Community Learning Center program.
