2008 Teacher of the Year honored in Washington D.C.
President George W. Bush congratulates South Dakota’s 2008 State Teacher of the Year, Sharon Andrews, in the Oval Office on April 30. Andrews took part in the Teacher of the Year National Recognition Week in our nation’s capital April 28–May 2. As part of the annual event, the National Teacher of the Year is introduced to the American people by the President of the United States. Andrews is a teacher at Challenge Center at Garfield Elementary in Sioux Falls.
