The School Health program is a collaborative partnership between the South Dakota Departments of Education and Health. Through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we develop partnerships and coordinate programming to improve the health and educational outcomes of young people!
CDC priority areas include addressing nutrition, health education, physical education/physical activity and the management of chronic conditions in schools through three evidence-based strategies: Infrastructure and Capacity Building; Professional Development and Training; and Technical Assistance. |
