Wanted: South Dakota Sturdy feedback
The Department of Education is seeking feedback on its South Dakota Sturdy resources.
At the beginning of the 2024-25 school year, the Department of Education (DOE) released a series of lesson plans for teachers of students in grades 4-6. These lesson plans, called South Dakota Sturdy, were designed to address standards in social studies, English language arts, and science. Each lesson ties into school counseling topics such as resilience, perseverance, and goal setting.
If you are a teacher or counselor who integrated South Dakota Sturdy into your classroom, the DOE is interested in hearing your feedback. We want to hear about successes, challenges, and anything in between. Please send your comments to Nancy Van Der Weide.
