Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching: Call for nominations

Nominations for the prestigious Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are now open. This year's award cycle will recognize outstanding secondary teachers of grades 7-12.

Each year, up to 110 teachers in the nation are recognized through this program from contributions to STEM education. If you know an exceptional science, technology, engineering, or math teacher who teaches grades 7-12, go to the online nomination form. Teachers can also apply directly on the PAEMST website. The application deadline is Feb. 6.

Presidential awardees receive:

  • A certificate signed by the President of the United States;
  • A trip to Washington, D.C. to attend a series of recognition events and professional development opportunities;
  • A $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation; and
  • Access to a network of award-winning teachers from across the country.

The PAEMST program is administered by the National Science Foundation. For more information, contact Allen Hogie.
