Free cyber camps at Dakota State University target middle, high school students


Dakota State University (DSU) is pleased to offer a number of residential camps this summer for middle and high school students. Registration is open but filling fast; please let your families know to sign up now to take advantage of these fantastic summer learning opportunities.

Girls in CybHER Security Camp
June 16-20, DSU campus
This residential camp is available for girls who will attend 6th-9th grade in fall 2025. This FREE camp seeks to inspire the next generation of cyber stars through hands-on exploration of cybersecurity concepts and activities, including digital forensics, cryptography, privacy, cyber awareness, block coding, and python coding. Camp Cyber
June 22-25, DSU Campus
This residential camp is intended for boys who will attend grades 6-9 in fall 2025. Camp Cyber is a FREE, technology-focused camp designed for middle school boys who are interested in cybersecurity, coding, and the digital world. It combines hands-on activities, interactive learning, and fun team-building exercises to create a stimulating environment where campers can explore the world of cybersecurity. GenCyber High School Camp
June 8-13, DSU Campus
DSU GenCyber is a cyber security camp designed for high school students entering grades 10 through 12. Students will participate in hands-on education sessions with DSU professors, alumni, and current students as well as other industry professionals. Cyber Espionage Camp
June 23-25, DSU Campus
The Cyber Espionage Camp at DSU provides fun, introductory experiences for high school students in the thrilling world of national security and cyber espionage. Camp activities will include a mix of live-action and online games, exercises, and in-person simulations played individually and in teams. The camp is designed for high school students currently in grades 9-12. Campers will participate in hands-on learning sessions with DSU faculty and students from the Cyber Leadership and Intelligence major and industry professionals.
