GO FOURTH – Free State Park Day Pass for South Dakota fourth graders
For the tenth consecutive year, the South Dakota Departments of Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) and Health want all South Dakota fourth graders to take advantage of the “Go Fourth” program which encourages kids and their families to get active, get outdoors, and get healthy!
This program seeks to give the students exposure to local natural resources and a chance to start a lifetime of healthy habits by providing them with their choice of three state park discounts: 1) a free family day pass, 2) half off an annual park license or 3) a free 3-year subscription to the Conservation Digest. With a variety of programs, events, and opportunities throughout the season that will be promoted, the agencies also want to educate students about the outdoors and encourage a life-long love of nature.
Passes will be mailed out to schools the week of March 25.
If you are interested in having GFP staff speak to your class or if you would like more information about the program, please visit gfp.sd.gov/go-fourth or email rachel.comes@state.sd.us.
