South Dakota Crunch Off kicks off!
South Dakota Crunch Off 2023 is here! This year’s event, which celebrates locally grown fruits and vegetables, takes place anytime from Monday, Sept. 18, through Friday, Oct. 13. It is easy to participate.
1. Create a crunch team (recruit the teachers, administrators, students, and community around you)
2. Find locally grown fruits and vegetables (check out the grocery store, local producers in your area, farmer’s market, and colonies to name a few)
3. CRUNCH into that produce between Sept. 18 and Oct. 13
4. Post a photo or video crunching to social media tagged with #SoDakCrunch and register your crunches.
The Crunch Off is a great opportunity to help kids connect the food they eat to the farms where they grow. It also celebrates healthy food choices.
