Website supports connecting students to industry

Work-Based Learning in middle of triangle. Around triangle are the words: Explore, Engage, Experience.

The South Dakota Departments of Education and Labor and Regulation have unveiled a new website, Career Ready SD. The website includes interactive learning guides, tools, and resources to help educators, students, parents, and business and industry partners navigate how to have positive, high-quality, work-based learning experiences and grow South Dakota’s future workforce.

South Dakota recognizes three stages in the Work-Based Learning (WBL) continuum: Exploration, Engagement, and Experiences. Career Ready SD provides schools and businesses with everything they need to successfully implement and support high-quality, work-based learning activities throughout each of these stages. From updated implementation guides for all five CTE Capstone Experiences to Business and Industry Guides to Supporting WBL, Career Ready SD has everything educators and industry need to creating meaningful partnerships to help engage and prepare students in the world of work.
