The doors are officially open to visitors to experience South Dakota’s past in the present. With the July 1st grand opening of the first phase of this project, three of 6 galleries of the new State Museum are completed. Plan your visit to experience South Dakota’s rich history in an immersive atmosphere that truly captures the past for a new perspective on our present and future. While you’re in Pierre, bring your students to explore what the South Dakota Discovery Center has to offer. Schedule a group visit and participate in one of their STEMventure programs for a unique hands-on activity that dives into real-world STEM examples.
