JAG Leadership Development Conference held

Jobs for America’s Graduates-South Dakota (JAG-SD) held its annual Leadership Development Conference in Spearfish Oct. 11-12. The conference’s theme was “The Art of Leadership.” JAG students gathered to learn about and practice leadership development, civic engagement, career awareness, and community partnership development.

JAG is a leadership development and career exploration program for middle and high school students with more than 400 members in South Dakota. JAG students from 11 schools throughout South Dakota were present at the conference.

Presenters at the conference included industry partners such as the Wellmark Foundation, Northwestern Energy, and the South Dakota Department of Education (DOE). The conference concluded with a tour of Black Hills State University.
