Dakota Dreams Leadership Academy provides on-ramp into administration
Teachers who are considering a role in education leadership are invited to apply for the Dakota Dreams Leadership Academy. This course, administered by the South Dakota Board of Regents, will feature book reviews, public speaking experiences, goal setting, and more. Participants will be led by Professor Practice faculty, which consists of qualified retired school superintendents.
Participants will discover the areas of educational leadership that best fit them, gain insight into what educational leadership entails, and better understand themselves and how to lead all personality types. The Teacher Leadership Academy is provided at no cost to teachers. To qualify for the program, applicants must have three or more years’ experience as a classroom teacher. Those who successfully complete the program will earn three graduate credits that may be applied to an advanced degree in education at a South Dakota public university.
