Call for Proposals: 2025 Literacy conference and Mentoring Academies
Education professionals who are experts in literacy or mentoring are invited to submit a proposal to present at one of DOE's professional development events in the summer of 2025.
Literacy Conference: Elevate. Educate. Empower.
The Department of Education (DOE) is looking for educators interested in presenting at its upcoming literacy conference, to be held June 2-3, 2025. If you are skilled in areas such as the Science of Reading, tiered literacy instruction, assessment, or other literacy-related topics, please submit a proposal.
Presenters will receive $150 per session and will be reimbursed travel expenses. A list of topics and registration form is now available. The deadline for proposals is Nov. 25.
South Dakota Statewide Mentoring Program Academies
The DOE is calling on passionate individuals to share their expertise during breakout sessions. If you are skilled in topics such as student engagement, classroom management, effective assessment strategies, or other topics of value to new teachers, we want to hear from you. Please consider submitting a presentation proposal. Your knowledge can impact the next generation of teachers!
Summer academies are on each side of the state; on June 4-5, 2025, in Sioux Falls, and on June 11-12, 2025, in Rapid City. Presenters will receive $150 per session and will be reimbursed for travel expenses.
