Opportunity For Science, Special Education, and EL Educators
The South Dakota Department of Education, Office of Assessment, has an opportunity for science, special education, and English learner educators to help with content and bias review for the South Dakota Science Assessment (SDSA) and the South Dakota Science Assessment-Alternate (SDSA-Alt). Educators will work virtually with content specialists from Cambium to review assessment items to ensure accuracy, grade-level appropriateness, alignment to South Dakota’s science standards, and potential bias and sensitivity concerns. A key part of the development of the South Dakota Science Assessment is the inclusion of educators who understand the students, curriculum, and people of South Dakota.
Science, Special Education, and EL educators from elementary, middle, and high school are needed for content and bias review of items for the South Dakota Science Assessment (SDSA) and the South Dakota Science Assessment-Alternate (SDSA-Alt).
