Graduation Requirements: Applying a State-Approved Advanced Computer Science to Replace a Science Elective
A state-approved advanced computer science course may be substituted for one unit of a science elective in the High School Diploma and Advanced Career Endorsement. It may not replace Biology. It may not count for the Advanced and Advanced Honors Endorsements.
Approval Process for Robotics (21009)
Robotics (21009) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility as a state-approved advanced computer science course in lieu of a science course elective.
Submission for review requires the following to be submitted to Stephanie Higdon by December 1 for the following school year:
- Robotics Application for Recognition as a State-Approved Advanced Computer Science
- Course Syllabus and any additional supporting material
