Content Standards Review

Content standards provide a road map for what students should know and be able to do by the end of each grade. South Dakota’s content standards are reviewed regularly, as required by state law. Standards in the content areas noted below are currently under review. The review process involves a series of four public hearings, held over a period of at least six months, and allows key stakeholders to thoughtfully review and analyze the state’s content standards to pave the way for students to receive current and relevant learning experiences.
