Certification: Submission of Official Transcripts

Applicant may:

• Mail official/original transcripts (transcripts may be removed from the sealed envelope)

University may:

• Submit electronic transcript directly to certification@state.sd.us
• Mail official/original paper transcripts

Electronic transcripts are accepted directly through Parchment and National Student Clearinghouse.

• The SD DOE Office of Educator Certification will download a 'batch' of transcripts weekly and upload to each existing Educator Profile. Please utilize the view status for your application for progress.
• Due to the volume of transcripts received, you may notice a delay in adding it to your record. Thank you for your patience.

**If you are receiving an automated message about submitting a transcript, it is because you indicated a new degree on your profile or application. Until confirmed by our office, this message will continue to be sent on the first of the month.
