- South Dakota Parent Connection - nonprofit organization providing information, training, resources, linking of families, and assistance to parents of children with disabilities or special health care needs throughout South Dakota

- South Dakota Statewide Family Engagement Center - home learning resources and strategies to connect schools, families, and communities
- South Dakota Benefits Specialist Network - help for people receiving supplemental security income (SSI) and social security disability insurance (SSDI) to understand how work will impact benefits such as food stamps, housing, Medicaid, etc.

Assistive technology and communication services
- DakotaLink (assistive technology)
A one-stop shop for assistive technology needs ranging from equipment to technology aids. DakotaLink helps with assessment of needs, installation, and training on assistive devices. They will assist most types of facilities, including schools, and with private individual uses. - Deaf Services - The Department of Human Services' Division of Rehabilitation Services administers a variety of programs that provide services to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech impediments.
