21CCLC Grants
The Department of Education awarded over $9 million to 11 programs as part of the federal Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) grant.

The South Dakota Board of Education Standards will meet Monday, June 22 at 9 a.m. (CT) virtually. Detail and agenda are available on the state's Boards and Commissions website. Among other items, the board will hold a public hearing on the proposed certification rule changes and approve videos to meet the requirement in HB 1313.

Proposed Certification Rule Changes - Comments Due June 17
The department is proposing certification rule changes that will eliminate unnecessary barriers, clarify requirements, and add flexibility. Public comment on the package must be received by June 17; the Board of Education Standards will hear and take action on the package at its meeting on June 22.
