Engagement Path

The Instruction and Engagement Path is an online resource with hundreds of free, quality lessons designed, adapted, and vetted by licensed educators for use by out-of-school time programs. A quality OST program includes age-appropriate curriculum and specific learning outcomes. This path allows for easy access and preparation for OST staff who are involved in activity planning for both afterschool and summer programs.

Why take the Instruction and Engagement Path?

Learning is at the heart of any quality out-of-school time (OST) program. Children and youth should have the opportunity to participate in learning activities that are both engaging and meaningful. It is essential that staff have access to lesson plans that are relevant, easy-to-use, and aligned to South Dakota Content Standards when appropriate.

We are looking for participants for future retreats. At retreats, we want you to bring your best lessons, activities, projects, resources, and more. Retreat participants will not only learn the components of an effective lesson but will also share and work together to input their favorite lessons into the Path2Impact lesson template.
