South Dakota K-12 Schools Guide to Prevent Suicide Toolkit (GPS-T)
The South Dakota K-12 Schools Guide to Prevent Suicide Toolkit (GPS-T) is designed to enhance, not replace existing school procedures for suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention. South Dakota schools are encouraged to utilize the tools in any way that will be helpful to them.
Goals of the GPS-T:
- Provides many tools for schools to utilize to enhance comprehensive suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention programs
- Meets the unique needs of South Dakota schools
- Provides the most up to date information on South Dakota legislative requirements and stats on youth suicidal behavior
- Promotes collaboration between schools and local and state prevention resources
